Grammy winning dancehall artiste Shaggy has joined the billion streams club with his hit single Banana.
The song, which features Conkarah, has been viewed over one billion times on streaming platform YouTube.
Shaggy took to social media to thank his fans for their continued support, as as well to show gratitude to those who worked on the production of the single.
Banana became a viral hit on social media platform Tik Tok, and sparked the banana challenge, which has been recreated by music star Jason Derulo and footballer Neymar Jr.
Shaggy now sits in the company of Wiz Khalifa, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber with songs hitting the billion mark.
Despacito by Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi is the most streamed song of all time with almost seven billion streams.
