Bounty Killer, Beenie Man still being celebrated following Verzuz battle

Social media continues to buzz about the epic musical battle between dancehall icons Bounty Killer and Beenie Man on Saturday night.

The pair performed in the first dancehall Verzuz battle, attracting some 500,000 viewers including international celebrities Rihanna, Missy Elliot, Fabolous, Ashanti, Busta Rhymes and DJ Khaled.

Corporate entities Tidal, Spotify, Vibe Magazine, BET, Revolt, Apple Music and Pandora were also on hand to witness what fans have dubbed the best Verzuz battle thus far.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange gave the clash the thumbs up, while Opposition Senator Damion Crawford described it as tourism's saviour.

New York based radio station HOT97 on Tuesday dedicated a part of the show to discussing the battle and highlighting the musical prowess of the two Jamaican stars.

The call is now being made for the artistes to be allowed the freedom to travel especially to the United States, after their visas were cancelled without explanation by the US government.
