Grammy-winning Afrobeats artiste Burna Boy has local fans in a frenzy, following the announcement of his upcoming performance in Jamaica.

The Nigerian singer is set to bring his Love Damini tour to the Caribbean, including the islands of Trinidad and Antigua.

Jamaica is the final stop on the three-island tour scheduled for December 18 at the National Stadium.

He will first perform in Trinidad on December 16 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, and then on December 17 in Antigua at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

The tour will be a first for an African artiste as the headlining act in the Caribbean Islands.

Burna Boy made headlines with his 2018 hit single Ye, and this year he dominated major international music markets with the Toni Braxton infused Last Last.

He was recently nominated for Best Global Music Album for "Love Damini" and Best Global Music Performance for "Last Last" at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
