New York rapper Cardi B continues to create history for women in the hip hop industry.
The Bronx native who was the first woman to achieve a diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for her breakout single Bodak Yellow, has done it again with Girls Like You.
The RIAA awards a song or album a Diamond certificate when it has earned 10 million sales.
Girls Like You, which is a collaboration with pop group Maroon 5, also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart
In responding to the accolade on Twitter, the outspoken performer quoted the classic phrase "Diamonds are a girl's best friend".
Katy Perry leads the diamond certification club with three, while Lady Gaga is tied with Cardi B for second place with two diamond records.
