The legendary reggae group Fab 5 is mourning the loss of guitarist Ricky Walters.
Walters died in hospice in Florida on Tuesday after battling cancer for a few years.
The guitarist and bassist wrote the hit ballad Asking for Love in 1978.
Walters was a member of the group from 1976 to 1992, after which he migrated to Florida.
Fab 5 band member Grub Cooper, in reacting to his death, described Walters as his partner in crime, adding that they often pushed each other to achieve their best in music.
He recalled that, together, they co-wrote songs and played instruments for the iconic Rita Marley.
Cooper noted that he was happy for the time shared and that he will be missed.
