January 20 court date set for ShabDon to answer corruption charges

Dancehall producer ShabDon is set to return to court on January 20 to answer to corruption charges.
The date was set following his appearance in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday.
The case involving ShabDon, whose given name is Linval Thompson Jr., alleges that he offered a bribe of $2 million to a policeman to remove an illegal firearm from his grey Mercedes-Benz motor car before it was searched by experts.
The complainant reportedly declined the offer and informed his supervisors.
ShabDon is currently on bail for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition following the stop and search conducted in Old Harbour, St. Catherine, on October 14.
His attorney Donahue Martin insists his client is not guilty.
