Rihanna
Pop singer Rihanna has dropped the legal case against her father Ronald Fenty, almost two weeks before they were due to meet in court.
The Barbadian singer, born Robyn Fenty, had accused her father of misusing her name to benefit his own entertainment company, adding that he had tried to book her on an overseas tour without permission.
She sued him in 2019 for false advertising and invasion of privacy.
The case was due to be mentioned in court on September 22, however, Rihanna filed for a dismissal on Tuesday.
Reports are that she reached an out-of-court settlement with her father and his business partner.
The relationship between the two has long been strained due to her father's past struggle with alcohol and drugs.
