Shenseea wins Best Reggae Act at MOBO Awards

Dancehall singer Shenseea was awarded Best Reggae Act at the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards on Sunday evening, making her the first female winner.
 
She bested Skillibeng, Popcaan, Sean Paul, Spice and Lila Iké to walk away with the trophy.
 
The event, which was held in London, England, is recognised as the UK's biggest celebration of black music and culture.
 
The Run Run singer used Instagram to thank her fans for their vote. 
 
The other category to feature a Jamaican was Best International Act, which saw Skillibeng going up against Megan Thee Stallion, Drake, Doja Cat, Ye, Lil Nas X, Polo G, WizKid and Young Stoner Life. 
 
The award was won by Nigerian star WizKid, who was also Best African Act.
