Summer Jam gets a taste of Dancehall

Dancehall music was well represented at this year's staging of Summer Jam, sponsored by New York-based radio station HOT97.

The annual Hip Hop festival, which took place in New Jersey on Sunday, featured dancehall artiste Shenseea on the main performance stage.

The Blessed singer made a surprise guest appearance at last year's show.

Dancehall's newest international sensation, Skillibeng, also made a special appearance during rapper Fivio Foerign's set.

He performed his trending single, Whap Whap, much to the delight of concert goers.

Whap Whap has become an international hit, having been remixed by rappers Fivio and French Montana and having had a second remix by NBA YoungBoy.

Summer Jam took place at the MetLife Stadium, and featured rappers City Girl, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and afrobeat king Burna Boy.
