Tennis player Naomi Osaka is the latest celebrity to launch a skincare line.
Osaka's new label KINLÒ features a range of sun care products specifically designed for highly-pigmented skin.
The four-time Grand Slam champ, who is 23, said she saw a gap in the market which prompted her to develop the brand.
The brand has a strong message of combating the myth that people with darker skin tones cannot get skin cancer and therefore, do not need to use sunscreen.
Other big names to launch beauty brands in recent years include Kim Kardashian West, Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys and rapper Pharrell.
Dominating the industry is pop singer Rihanna, whose Fenty Beauty make-up line is worth $2.8 billion. She then followed up with cleansing line, Fenty Skin.
As of 2021, the beauty industry is valued at $511 billion.
