Amazon workers stage first-ever strike in the UK

Amazon workers are staging the first ever UK strike today in protest over pay.

Approximately 300 of the 1,000 workers at the Coventry Fulfillment Center have taken issue with a 5 per cent increase to £10.50 an hour.

They describe it as derisory considering the rise in the cost of living.

Workers claim their toilet breaks are timed and the robots in the warehouse are treated better than them.

It was reported that some staffers are working 60-hour weeks to keep up with the cost of inflation.
