Bartlett offers hope for St. Thomas tourism

The Government is again promising to facilitate the development of tourism in St. Thomas.

The eastern Jamaica parish is set to benefit from the expansion of the tourism sector along the south coast through projects spearheaded by the Ministry of Tourism.

Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett says the aim is to continue to build out a framework of support that will include product development, training, improvement of relevant infrastructure, and access to financing for rural communities.

Mr. Bartlett says he is focused on providing an economic boost in communities outside Jamaica's traditional resort areas.
