BOJ records decline in ABM transactions

There was a marginal decline in Automated Banking Machine (ABM) transactions in Jamaica in July.

The Bank of  Jamaica's (BOJ)  payment system report shows that there were 5.68 million transactions amounting to $152.7 billion.

In July 2020, there were 5.7 million transactions amounting to $117.8 billion.

In terms of  point of  sale machine transactions, there was a decline compared to the same period in 2020 when 4.26 million  transactions took place down from 4.35 million.  

However, the transactions amounted to $68 billion  compared to $61 billion a year ago.
