This year's CanEx Investment Summit will focus on reducing barriers and finding ways to bridge the legal cannabis trade between Canada and the Caribbean.
The summit begins on Thursday in Toronto.
Audley Shaw, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Delano Seiveright, Senior Advisor to the government and Director of the Cannabis Licensing Authority, are among the guest speakers.
They will also examine investment opportunities for the legal cannabis trade in the region.
The summit comes just a week following the United States of America Congressional Judiciary Committee approving a landmark bill that would decriminalize and tax ganja on the federal level? representing another significant step in global cannabis liberalisation efforts.
