Tobacco products manufacturer and distribution company Carreras registered less profit in its second quarter ended September.
Profit post tax was $923.1 million, down from the $1 billion for the same period in 2021.
The company's revenues were up $274.6 million for the period, bringing the quarter's earnings to a total of $4 billion.
Carreras recorded revenue of $3.8 billion for the similar period in 2021.
Despite macro-economic challenges, the company said it achieved satisfactory results, which were primarily driven by increased sales volumes and portfolio improvements over the period.
