The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) says it is playing a crucial role in supporting its borrowing member countries to build climate resilience in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication.
In a statement on what it dubbed "Paris Agreement Alignment," the region's premier financial institution said its lending and other operations are consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement
The CDB says it recognises that more can be done.
It has committed to, among other things, strengthening energy efficiency standards across its portfolio.
This progress is expected to be fully achieved by the end of next year.
