A decline in wind speed contributed to a dip in profit at Wigton Windfarm during the six month ended September 30.
Wigton ended the April to September period with a 15.8 percent decrease in profit. This amounted to $455-.7 million versus $541.5 million during the corresponding period last year.
Revenue for the period was 7 percent lower at $1.5 billion
Wigton says the change was largely due to the decrease in sales of electricity which resulted from lower production.
The listed company says wind speed during the period was lower than the comparative period last year.
