Financial performance of Berger Paints affected by COVID-19

Berger Paints is the latest listed company to report that its financial performance during the January to March quarter was adversely affected by the coronavirus.

It says due to the pandemic, market activity fell by 39% in March.

As a result, Berger reported revenue of $509 million which was two per cent above the $498 million for the corresponding period last year. This ended three months with a $41.9 million loss.

It recorded a near $4 million profit during the same period last year.
