Vickram Bharrat, Guyana's Natural Resources Minister
The Guyana government has welcomed the addition of two new oil discoveries offshore the country.
Natural Resources Minister, Vickram Bharrat, said the discoveries yesterday will further strengthen Guyana as a petroleum-producing economy.
The new oil discoveries were made by Exxon Exploration and Production Guyana and partners.
There have now been seven discoveries in the Stabroek block this year and 33 overall.
