Jamaica's inflation rises to 8.2%

Point-to-Point inflation as at September 2021 was 8.2 per cent.
The Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) reported the rise in the cost of goods over the 12 month period, at a press briefing on Wednesday morning.
This is outside the Bank of Jamaica's target of four to six per cent.
Inflation for the month of September was up 2.3 per cent, compared to August.
This was mainly influenced by an 8.1 per cent increase in the cost of transportation.
