JN hoping to get Cayman banking licence by summer

The Jamaica National group is hopeful that a banking licence it applied for in the Cayman Islands will be granted by the summer. 
If granted, the Cayman Islands would become the third commercial banking market for the group, in addition to Jamaica and the United Kingdom. 
JN group's application for a banking licence in the Cayman islands was made in December 2020.
The group its investment in the build-out of the banking operation could run to US$15 million.
