Therapedic Caribbean gets bedding contract for Hilton Rose Hall hotel

Local bedding company Therapedic Caribbean won a $60 million contract to supply mattresses and box foundations for the refurbishing of the 489-room Hilton Rose Hall hotel in Montego Bay, St. James.

The hotel is owned and operated by the Sagicor Group, which pushed to have the items manufactured in Jamaica.

This arrangement means that the Hilton International hotel chain has made an exception to its long standing procurement procedures, by appointing a Jamaican bedding manufacturer as a preferred supplier of customised sleep products to the hotel’s international specifications.

The items were delivered on time in January this year.
