49 new COVID-19 cases, one more death

Jamaica's COVID-19 positivity rate declined on Monday to 8.3 per cent, the lowest since the onset of the third wave.
The Ministry of Health says 49 COVID-19 cases were confirmed from 589 samples.
A 78-year-old man from Manchester is the latest to die from COVID-19 in Jamaica.
The country's COVID-19 death toll is now 2,184.
Two more deaths are being investigated.
At the same time, 340 people remain hospitalised with COVID-19 in Jamaica.
Thirty-two of those admitted are severely ill while 22 are in critical condition.
