The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has announced COVID-19 policies that are meant to introduce mandatory vaccination for all government employees.
Starting Monday, the employees will have to stay at home until they can present proof of vaccination.
Those who do not comply with the requirements have been told that they will not be paid a salary or wage for the period of non-compliance.
The policy changes take effective October 1.
All eligible students 12 years and upwards are also required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, while all primary and secondary school teachers must be fully vaccinated before returning to face-to-face classes.
