Schools in Bermuda will start the new term on Monday with remote learning until April 23.
The government made the announcement after the island recorded 28 new cases of COVID-19.
Six people are in intensive care.
Two persons died on the weekend, pushing the island's death toll to 14.
Premier David Burt said the government was working on a solution for employed parents who would now have to care for their children at home during online classes.
Bermuda has recorded 1,497 cases of COVID-19.
