Beyoncé announces new album

Six years after the release of her last studio album, Beyoncé has announced a new project, Renaissance, premiering on July 29.

The album will be the follow-up to 2016's Lemonade, which featured themes of black identity and marital infidelity.

Streaming sites including Spotify and Apple Music have since posted artwork for the record, offering fans the chance to pre-save the release.

Renaissance will reportedly feature 16 songs and is Beyonce's seventh solo album since leaving the girl group Destiny's Child.

Hours after the announcement, the phrase, BEYONCE IS COMING, became a trending topic on Twitter.
