Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke
Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke has announced a $5.3 billion expansion of the CARE programme to assist the vulnerable hit hard by the covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Clarke told the House of Representatives on Tuesday that there will be an automatic one-off grant of 10 thousand dollars to all PATH households. Through that initiative, 130,000 families will benefit.
There will also be a 10 thousand dollar grant for 57,000 NIS pensioners who receive less than $10,000 monthly.
Some members of the labour force will also benefit from the expanded CARE programme.
Members of the occupational groups will have to apply for the benefit via the CARE portal.
