A policeman who was arrested last week during an anti-crime operation in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, was offered bail on Friday when he appeared before the Gun Court on charges of illegal possession of ammunition.
Investigators say Constable Dexter Spence was charged after the police raided his house and seized more than 100 rounds of ammunition.
Two licensed firearms were also seized.
The policeman is to return to court on December 7.
More than a dozen people were arrested during the operation, which targeted criminal gangs in Spanish Town.
