Dragon Court restaurant fined for breaching plastic ban

A company has been fined $25,000 for breaching the ban on single-use plastics.
 
The operators of Dragon Court restaurant appeared before the Corporate Area Parish Court on Wednesday and were ordered to pay the fine or spend 30 days behind bars.
 
The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) has intensified enforcement action against businesses found in breach of the ban.
 
It said, to date, more than 16 individuals and companies have been charged.
