Early morning fire damages Morant Bay Arcade

An early morning fire in a section of St. Thomas has resulted in major damage to the government run Morant Bay Arcade.

The arcade is operated by the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation

Deputy Superintendent Horace Thomas of the St. Thomas Fire Brigade told Radio Jamaica News that his team was alerted about 6:30 a.m.

He said a fire investigator has been dispatched to try and ascertain the cause and or origin of the fire.
