A female taxi operator was fatally shot in Montego Bay, St. James on Tuesday evening.
She has been identified as 23-year-old Tamara Higgins of Spring Mount, St. James.
About 7 o'clock, Miss Higgins was assisting a male passenger to remove items from the trunk of her car when he shot her several times.
Sixteen spent shells were found at the scene.
