Festival Queen to be crowned tomorrow

The Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition will stage its National Coronation on Thursday at the National Arena.
The competition aims to select the most brilliant and promising young woman among the 13 parish queens who will then go on to become Jamaica's cultural ambassador.
The Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition has catapulted the careers of countless young Jamaican women for over 50 years.
Some of the most notable past queens include Jennifer 'Jenny-Jenny' Small of HItz92 FM and Dahlia Harris of TVJ and RJR94FM.
Meanwhile, the grounds of the National Arena have been transformed into the Jamaica 57 Independence Festival Village as it has been designated the cultural hub for the 2019 Independence celebratory activities.
This year's Independence theme is "Jamaica 57 – One Nation… One People".
The Village will be open with free admission starting Thursday through to Tuesday, August 6, beginning at noon daily.
