After 45 days of negative test results, Fiji has been declared free of the coronavirus.
Eighteen people who had tested positive have recovered.
Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama made the declaration in a Twitter post on Friday.
Mr. Bainimarama said the island had just cleared the last of its active patients.
Fiji, which has a population of 900,000, imposed a lockdown in certain areas in April and put in place border restrictions.
