The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade will move to its new location at the end of this month.
The move will come more than a year after the new building on Port Royal Street in downtown Kingston was completed and handed over to the Ministry in October 2019.
Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, told Parliament's Standing Finance Committee on Thursday that infrastructural issues in relation to the building's sewage connection caused the delay in relocating.
She said the sewage issue forced the push back of other components essential to the readiness of the building, and this was further compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.
