German man who came to Jamaica by boat, denied entry

A man, believed to be a German national who arrived in Jamaica by boat on Sunday from the Dominican Republic, has been denied entry as Jamaica remains on high alert for the coronavirus.
The man is to remain on the boat, which has been anchored at Bowden Harbour in St. Thomas.
Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force Corporate Communications Unit, said the boat is to be examined after which it will be sent back to its country of origin.
A team from the Ministry of Social Security and the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation delivered food packages to the man Tuesday morning, following reports that he was running low on supplies.
