Guyana prepares to accept 300 nationals stranded overseas

Guyana on Friday said it would allow the return of 300 nationals stranded overseas as a result of border closures.

The National COVID-19 Task Force, which held a special meeting to consider the applications of various groups of Guyanese stranded overseas, said the re-entry would apply to nationals who have registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via overseas missions.

The Guyanese nationals are in Trinidad and Tobago, the US and other countries.
