Lennox Hines
Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie has condemned the murder of Lennox Hines, the councillor-caretaker for the Southboro division in St. Catherine.
Mr. Hines was driving a white Honda CRV when he was shot on Marcus Garvey Drive about 5 o'clock on Thursday afternoon.
In a media release Friday morning, Mr. McKenzie described the attack as brazen and brutal.
He said it was clear that the criminals who shot Mr. Hines wanted to make a public show of the evil that they committed.
Mr. Hines had served as councillor-caretaker for the Southboro division since 2014.
