Lottery sales agent charged with embezzlement

A 28-year-old lottery sales agent has been charged with embezzlement by the St. Elizabeth Police.

Fylecia Dunkley of Santa Cruz was charged on Sunday for the offence which was allegedly committed between June 12 and 18.

It's reported that Ms Dunkley, who was employed to a Cash Pot agency in Santa Cruz, was responsible for depositing the day's sales into a bank account.

Her employer discovered that more than $800,000 could not be accounted for.

A report was made to the police, and following an investigation, Ms. Dunkley was arrested.

She was offered bail in the sum of $300,000 with surety when she appeared before the St. Elizabeth Parish Court on Monday.

Ms Dunkley is scheduled to return to court on July 25.
