A man narrowly escaped death after he was hit by a passenger train en route from Spanish Town to Old Harbour in St. Catherine on Friday afternoon.
One of the man's legs was severed in the mishap.
Vernon Dixon, Operations Officer of Jamaica Railway Corporation, said the injured man was taken to Spanish Town Hospital by the police.
The incident happened about 4:30 p.m.
