Paul Abrahams, Managing Director of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC), has said that "a communication" may have led to the non-receipt of answers regarding the Auditor-General's probe into the operations of the state-run entity.
Chairman of Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Julian Robinson, said on Tuesday that he was suspicious that, after seven months the JUTC had not responded to requests to respond to the Auditor-General's report despite being granted two extensions.
When contacted, Mr Abrahams told Radio Jamaica News that the information being sought was sent to the Ministry of Transport.
During Tuesday’s sitting of the PAC, Mr. Robinson said it was unacceptable that the committee was still waiting for the information requested.
