MOCA increasing investigative capacity for financial crimes

Superintendent Rohan Reid, Deputy Director of Investigations at MOCA

Superintendent Rohan Reid, Deputy Director of Investigations at the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA), has said the police are working on increasing their capacity to investigate more financial crimes and individuals who finance crime.

The indication comes against the background of the killing of 25 people across the island last weekend.

Superintendent Reid said there will be continued cooperation between MOCA and other police units for more high-profile arrests and convictions.

"What we are working on is to build out our investigative capacity and that is through training our investigators, seeking to increase our staff capacity so that we can undertake a greater case load," he said, adding that the agency will continue to collaborate with international stakeholders.
