More than 30 partygoers charged under Disaster Risk Management Act

The police have revealed that more than thirty people who were found at a party in Hellshire, Portmore, St Catherine during the curfew on Heroes Day have been charged under the Disaster Risk Management Act.

They are scheduled to appear in the St. Catherine Parish Court on November 24.

A news release last night from the police said 34 patrons were seen at the party on Parrot Close.

In the meantime, Communication Officer for the Jamaica Constabulary Force, SSP Stephanie Lindsay, says some of the persons who were picked up on Sunday in sections of  St. Catherine for breaching the Disaster Risk Management Act have been charged with a  range of traffic offences and other crimes.
