Belize police are searching for two people, including a nurse, in relation to falsifying COVID-19 vaccination cards issued by the Ministry of Health.
The government has since issued a statement warning that the offence could result in imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months.
Home Affairs Minister Kareem Musa said a criminal investigation has been launched into the matter.
Commissioner of Police Chester Williams disclosed that the illegal operation is centered in the Belize District.
Mr. Williams confirmed that a nurse is involved in the scheme.
