Prime Minister Andrew Holness is leading a special CARICOM mission to Haiti.
The mission is also comprised of representatives from the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago as well as the CARICOM Secretariat.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister said as part of this mission, Mr. Holness and the CARICOM delegation are expected to have discussions with several critical Haitian stakeholder groups.
Other Jamaican members of the delegation include Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Kamina Johnson Smith and Ambassador Rocky Meade.
Prime Minister Holness returns to Jamaica later this evening (Monday).
During his absence, Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Horace Chang will oversee the Government.
Haiti has been mired in unprecedented political, social and humanitarian chaos. Following the 44th CARICOM Heads of Government meeting over a week ago, chairman Philip Davis said the results of the regional bloc's efforts to aid Haiti would be seen soon.
