PNP President Portia Simpson Miller spoke with Andre Jebbinson on Wednesday evening about the funding scandal now rocking the party.
Having denied knowledge of the issue on Tuesday, Mrs. Simpson Miller was asked to respond to public concerns regarding whether she was control of the 78 year-old political party.
"Well, if I'm not in control, I'd like for them to tell me that," she responded.
She again denied having any knowledge of the report that some senior members of the PNP had collected money intended to help finance its last election campaign and had not turned over the money.
"Not really; no," she said, adding that she had knowledge that the Treasurer's report, presented at the July meeting of the National Executive Committee of the PNP, had not been accepted.
The allegations of corruption would be investigated by the Integrity Commission of the PNP, she said.
