The Manchester Police have launched a manhunt for gunmen who staged a major robbery at a supermarket in Nashville Park, Mandeville on Tuesday.
The hoodlums stole $500,000 cash, a licensed firearm, 18 rounds of ammunition and several cellular phones from customers.
Investigators say about 6:30 p.m., four men entered the business establishment purporting to be customers.
Three of them pulled firearms and ordered customers to lay on the floor.
The robbers were challenged by a licensed firearm holder, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
The men managed to escape in a waiting motor car.
But the body of one of the robbers was later found with bullet wounds.
Police recovered more than 24 spent shells at the crime scene.
