Police probe fatal shooting of two women in Mona Commons

Investigators are trying to ascertain the motive for the fatal shooting of  two women yesterday in Mona Commons, St. Andrew.
 
Shauna-Kay Hunter, 31 and Raenae Martell, 23, who were both unemployed, were killed about 2:15 in the afternoon.
 
A statement from the police says the women were gathered with other persons when they were approached by four men travelling on two motorcycles. 
 
Two of  the men opened gunfire at Miss Hunter and Miss Martell.
 
Miss Hunter ran into a nearby lane and Miss Martell ran to her house.
 
They were chased by the gunmen who continued shooting at them. 
 
Both women were pronounced dead at hospital.
