Political Ombudsman to sensitise police on political issues that may arise on election day

Political Ombudsman Donna Parchment Brown is to make a presentation to the police high command in an effort to sensitise it about political issues that may warrant an investigation on election day.
Mrs Parchment Brown says the decision follows a meeting with Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson.
She said the police will be required to assist 19 liaison officers who will be deployed to election centres.
"And so my hope is that the orientation that is given to them as well as the sensitisation that will be given to the overall leadership of the JCF will filter throughout the organisation to all 10,000 members so that they can identify political issues in a particular way and therefore support the liaison officer and the commission," she said.
She was speaking Monday on the Morning Agenda on Power 106.
