Reports of slow and steady voting in Barbados election

There are reports of slow but steady voting in the general election in Barbados.

Prime Minister Mia Mottley called the poll 18 months before the constitutional deadline, saying that she needed a unified country.

A total of 108 candidates, representing seven political parties and nine independents are contesting the poll that political observers say will be a straight fight between the Barbados Labour Party and the Democratic Labour Party.
