The Ministry of Health says six private laboratories are now equipped with 30,000 antigen test kits to boost the country's COVID-19 testing capacity.
The ministry donated the test kits to the laboratories on Thursday.
Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says the laboratories will start using the kits on Monday pending the arrival of their supplies within two weeks.
The six entities are Microlabs Limited, Biomedical, MDLink, Winchester Medical, Technological Solutions Limited, and Baywest Wellness.
The ministry recently gave some private labs and entities approval to conduct antigen testing for COVID-19.
This followed training by PAHO and the Ministry of Health.
